you capture: real life

I wasn't sure what to do this week. I took a lot of photos but none that really had to do with this challenge. I could have taken pictures of the messes all over my house but I've done that before.
So instead I am showing you a photo I took yesterday with the laptop's webcam as I was trying to send someone an email and, ultimately, gave up.

Ahem.

I have said a million times (like in my profile info) that I only blog when my kids are sleeping. Clark doesn't nap, so this really means I only blog after we're totally done doing everything else we needed to do that day. I blog when it's the time of day that normal humans go to sleep. It isn't that I WANT to stay up all night on the computer (though the night owl in me is okayish with it) it's just that... well...

They like to be on me all the time and be actively involved in what I am doing. They even like to help me type! Yes, typing on the laptop is like a golden ticket to the Wonka Factory. They act like it's the best and most thrilling activity EVER. And Alice's favorite button to type is the power button.

Head over to I Should Be Folding Laundry to see more little glimpses of real life.

  4. Comment number two: The look on Alice's face reminds me of pictures of me when I was little. I always wanted to be in on the action too. That and she kind of looks like me.

  6. What a FUN picture! And just wait until they're old enough to read...then they don't just clambor all over you while you're trying to write; they get nosy and read over your shoulder! Grrr!!

  9. Um. yeah. That's my house...except I just have the one who often seems like two. My mom is entertaining Levi for a few minutes while I check my email...and...ahem...sneak in some blog reading. Otherwise, he'd be on top of me "helping" me type. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

  12. Love the pic! As annoying as it is to be the human playground, it's kind of nice to be loved, huh?

  13. I love this! It's so true! What is it about us that makes kids think we're climbing structures? And, oh, the magic of keyboards! My kids love to play with an old one at my parents' house.

  14. Such a great picture :)

I've spent many a night catching up online... and while I love it, and feel most creative at night, I pay for it the next day!

  15. I think if I had a webcam it would look very similar, with the addition of Coral pulling my hair.

"stop touching it, no honey, don't push the buttons. NO NO, sweetie! Not that one!"

  17. Yes, blogging, emailing, and computering ONLY get done when husband and baby are asleep or otherwise occupied in an activity out of the house. I swear they both have radars..oh, you're on the computer. That means it's time for me to ask you something in the form of a complaint (note: this applies to both baby and husband sometimes).
