extra special good

I've been running around like a crazy lady for the last week, but I had to steal the computer for a moment to at least say Merry Christmas. I hope it's been magical and cozy and full of cheer. Ours was all of those things, and I can't believe it's over.

(my grandma's tree topper)

I was planning to calm down and sit down and shut down tonight, but then my kids started throwing up all over everything and they've never had a stomach thing before so I'm not sure what I'm doing and I'm in panic mode. Is it okay to let them sleep in their own beds? Will they start to throw up in their sleep and aspirate and I won't hear it? Could that happen? I will probably get out of bed every ten minutes to check on them for the rest of the night, just in case.

  3. Hope all is much better today. There's been some of that going around and it passes very quickly. I pray the same for you! As the kids get older, I make them sleep on the hallway floor by the bathroom. With towels everywhere. Probably a good idea to line towels all over just in case! With my babies, I keep them in bed with me and put towels on the bed. And don't sleep. Hope you got some rest and wellness!

    Thinking of you!

  4. Oh I hate the first time my kids get sick. I tend to either bring them in my room (on the floor or in my bed), or go and sleep with them. I worry about the aspiration also. Hope they get feeling better FAST!

  5. As many have said before me, towels are your new friend. I like to do layers of them in his bed so when what gets yucky I can peel it off and the new one is already there. I sleep on the floor next to the bed, running back and forth all night gets old. Love the smart water with electrolytes in it...

I hope by now this has all passed for you guys. And you're having a fabulous Boxing Day!

  8. I hope your kids get better quick! I would be the same way...checking on them every ten minutes. Actually, I take that back - I would just sleep right beside them. :)
