Luke also said we would need to upgrade our King sized bed to "Emperor"
This morning Luke and I stared at the kids in our bed while we brushed our teeth.
"They're like angels," he said, "like fat little snuggle angels."
We stared some more.
"Fat little snuggle angels who sneak in your bed every night and make you really uncomfortable and ruin your sleep and cause you to be unproductive in your place of employment," he continued.
We brushed some more and stared some more.
They really are.
All of that.
(I'm just wondering how we'll fit another one in there.)

we got a queen. because we liked being close to each other. pre kids.
ReplyDeleteand now?
we wish we would have listened to our cousins and bought the king. because three little ones take up so. much. room.
it's not like we get to be close to each other anymore anyways.
he he he :-) Fat little snuggle angles. I love it :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have a king & it's still not big enough for 3 of them. Every morning I wake up so exhausted & think that next time I'll send them all back to bed. But I never do.
ReplyDeleteme too. wondering how we'll fit another fat snuggle angel...
ReplyDeleteHa! Cuteness!! We actually shoved a twin up next to our queen to give us more room. It's cheaper than buying a king.
ReplyDeleteWhat Jen said! We picked out our bedroom set right after our wedding and said, "A Queen is plenty big!" HA.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Fat little snuggle sleep-stealing angels.
ReplyDeleteYour blog always makes me feel all happy.
Um, yes, we have three fat snuggle angels and a hound dog in our queen. But this is just a stage of life, right? A cuddly, back-pain-inducing stage.

You could always put a queen in their room. Once the party is hoppin' in your bed you and Luke can go into the other room.
ReplyDeleteSometimes even parents need a decent night of sleep.
Love it. Us too. There's nothing like the mornings we all wake up together. I'm going to miss that when my boys grow up. And there's always room for one more. ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally know how you feel. Every morning I wake up with one pressed to my chest yet somehow with her legs resting peacefully on daddy's ribs, and another snuggled in between my legs rendering my hips even more useless than my pregnant body allows them to be. And when the nine year old wanders in in the mornings... Well, it's a wonderful mess, indeed. And we do try to be mindful of it and thankful for it.
ReplyDeleteWe've got two grown-ups, one kid, one dog and a cat jammed in here. Happy.
ReplyDelete(Adore your snuggle angels photo.)
It'll fit!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your kids. And your photos. And your words. And you.
Steph
Look at all that lovely squishy-ness.
ReplyDeleteAnd Luke cracks me up. :)
Same issues here. Only our fat snuggle angels are going to get, um, fatter because they are only 2.5 and 7 months. Pretty sure we're going to be doing what @Madeline suggested with the twin bed.
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll make it work! Just wait until it's you - and you're 9 months pregnant - and two kids and a husband!
ReplyDeleteNell
Again - just smiling because I'm glad I found your blog. :)
ReplyDeletefat little snuggle angels. heh.:D
And? I just clicked on your picture in your blog sidebar and um...that video???! Ok, now I really like you and your sneaky, funny ways.

Your title is awesome. Are there really Emperor sized beds? I need to google that... :)
