Sue

My beautiful wonderful Grandma Sue unexpectedly passed away yesterday.

Last night when I was falling asleep I thought maybe I could turn it into a dream, and then I dreamt that I rode a bicycle as fast as I could to her house and ran inside and saw her and she was gone. I woke up confused about reality, feeling sick and shaky as I recalled the phone call from my mom the night before.  She is really gone.  I just dreamed the bicycle part.

She was healthy and fine and this came out of nowhere.

My heart is sick.  Please pray for my family, especially my Uncles and Mom who have lost both of their parents in a little more than a year.  She was our family cornerstone. I cannot believe this.

  2. Dear Imaginary Internet friend (for lack of a better word): about a year before my baby was born I lost my two remaining grandparents within 3 months of each other. I so feel your loss my dear.
Cherish those pictures of your kiddos with your Gran, they are so precious, and they will ease the sting at least a little bit.
    My prayers are with you.

It's so sad .. The week my grandpa passed the doctors kept saying he could be completely turned around next week .. So we held on to that little hope that stood no chance . He was ready to go be with my grandma .. He missed her and he was ready to go . It brings tears to my eyes thinking about it . So I can't say I know how you feel because I dont .. But I do empathize with you . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time . *hugs*

  17. I am so, so sorry, Erin. It's such a blow to lose our grammies. From the pictures, she was clearly a beautiful, strong, devoted woman.

    My heart aches for you.

I lost both my grandmothers in December 2005, both quite unexpectedly. It was a tough, rotten, bleak, muddling Christmas that year, but I rejoice in the hope that I will see them again someday.

I am so sorry. My grandma died a year ago, on my birthday, 10 days before Gage was born. It's still painful.

Many prayers to you and your family.

  30. Awww Erin, Doggone it. I'm sorry.

Also? I'm so glad she got to meet Hal!

I'm sure she's showing your pictures around to all her new friends in heaven and they're talking about how beautiful you are, and what a great little mommy you are. And what a great little family you have. (I know this wasn't a grammarrific paragraph - so sue me)

I'm sure Victoria is already calling her grandma and giving her a smile with her little head cocked like she has always done. She's in good hands.

Thank God for grandmas like we ours. They make this world inhabitable.

  45. My sweet darling woman... I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I wish I could say something more helpful...

I wish I'd been closer to my grandmother(s). One passed when I was about 9 years old... the other just last year. I hadn't seen her since my sister's wedding 10 years prior (Jamaica is far, far away...) and I wish I'd known her better. I would have asked her things... le sigh.

I think of you, Sugar... xoxoxoxoxoxox
